Fewer misheard names and less returned mail

Your reps ask for a MailKey instead of a spelling. They get the customer's exact name and a USPS-standardized address, and updates arrive when the customer moves.

For phone reps

  1. 1

    Ask for the key

The caller reads out a MailKey such as K7M-4QX-9RD8. The letters are chosen to survive a bad line.

  2. 2

    Read back the preview

The rep sees "Mike G. in Arlington, VA" and confirms it with the caller. A misheard key is caught here, before any data moves.

  3. 3

    Claim the record

The full name and address appear with a copy button. The name matches how the customer typed it, capitalization included.

Returned mail and change notifications

When a customer moves, the new address shows up in your console on the effective date. Changes are also delivered in a daily email digest and as a CSV of everything that changed since a date you choose. If a customer revokes your access, you see a revocation instead.

Every address carries the date it was last confirmed, and records older than 12 months are flagged. When mail comes back, a rep presses Report returned mail on that record. The customer is asked to confirm or update their address.

The console

Sign-up starts in demo mode with fixed demo keys, so you can try the whole flow right away. Going to production means applying with your business name, a verified website domain and a stated use. The applications are reviewed by hand during the beta.

Permitted use

MailKey addresses may not be used for credit, employment, tenant or insurance eligibility decisions. Businesses agree to delete addresses they release.

Pricing

Free during beta. Paid plans come later and will be tiered by the number of active grants, meaning customers who have shared their address with the business. Nothing is charged now.

Coming in v2

API, Salesforce and HubSpot integrations coming in v2. Until then, the console, the digest and the CSV cover the same ground without integration work.
